Estimated reading and study time: 25–35 minutes. Allow time to review 22 slides, inspect the evidence and absorb the concepts. This estimate excludes reproducing the procedures and waiting for installation, synchronization or policy delivery.

LAB-LNX-001 follows Ubuntu 24.04 device identity, Microsoft Intune enrollment and compliance, then examines Edge access and sign-in logs. Use the walkthrough to compare endpoint observations with the Entra and Intune records and to understand why management, compliance and the browser experience need distinct checks.

The lab documents an Entra-joined, Intune-managed and compliant endpoint, direct access in a regular browser session and a sign-in request in InPrivate. Token provenance and enforcement of a require-compliant-device control remain separate validation steps. A successful browser session alone does not establish the policy decision that allowed access.

Official documentation: Consult Microsoft’s Linux enrollment requirements and procedure and custom compliance guidance, plus Canonical’s Ubuntu Desktop installation guide for OS preparation appropriate to the lab version. A 22-slide lab walkthrough of Ubuntu 24.04 device identity, Intune enrollment and compliance, followed by Edge access and sign-in log evidence.
