macOS Direct Enrollment with Intune: MDM Enrollment, Device Rename and Policy Validation
Actualizado: hace 6 días
Estimated reading and study time: 40–55 minutes. Allow time to review 46 slides, inspect the evidence and absorb the concepts. This estimate excludes reproducing the procedures and waiting for installation, synchronization or policy delivery.
LAB-MAC-01 documents macOS Direct Enrollment without user affinity, from a VM baseline and management profile installation to Intune inventory, device renaming and configuration results. The walkthrough helps readers follow the transition from an unmanaged endpoint to observed MDM management and compare client settings with portal reports.
This is a virtual-machine lab. Confirmed MDM management is kept separate from pending Platform SSO registration, Microsoft Entra sign-in and encryption validation. A delivered configuration or an inventory entry does not by itself establish those additional capabilities.

Continue with Platform SSO and Kerberos — LAB-MAC-02 for the separate registration and access experiments; do not assume identity registration is completed in this enrollment lab.
Official documentation: Consult Microsoft’s macOS Direct Enrollment instructions and Apple’s Platform Deployment guide for enrollment and management concepts. Use Microsoft’s Platform SSO guide when planning the follow-on identity checks.LAB-MAC-01 documents a macOS Direct Enrollment walkthrough without user affinity, from the initial VM baseline and enrollment profile installation to Intune inventory, device renaming and configuration results. The 46 slides preserve the lab evidence and distinguish confirmed MDM management from pending Platform SSO, Microsoft Entra sign-in and encryption validation.
